The problem you will help solve
Delivery fails for unglamorous reasons: unclear scope, an unnamed decision-maker on the client side, a dependency nobody chased, and optimism reported as progress. This role makes those failures visible early enough to fix, and keeps the team’s workload inside what was actually promised.
What you will do
Shape the engagement
Turn a discovery outcome into a sequenced plan with named owners, real dependencies, and a defined end.
Run the week
Keep the work moving without inventing meetings. Remove blockers, chase decisions, and make progress legible to both sides.
Report accurately
Status that reflects reality, including the parts that are behind. Escalate before a slip becomes a surprise.
Protect the team
Manage scope change, push back on false urgency, and make sure ordinary weeks do not depend on exhaustion.
Own the handover
Documentation, training, and support arrangements agreed at the start of the engagement rather than negotiated at the end.
Feed the pattern back
Tell product and engineering what keeps breaking across engagements.
What we are looking for
You have led technical delivery for client-facing work, consulting, agency, or professional services, with enough technical literacy to challenge an estimate. Evidence of recovering an engagement that was going wrong. Direct communication with executives and engineers alike. Comfort saying "we are behind, here is the plan" without decoration.
We care more about the quality of your judgement and your work than about polished self-presentation. Send evidence.
Helps, but not essential
What we will tell you honestly
A share of this work is coordination and writing. You will hold accountability for outcomes you do not directly build, and you will sometimes deliver bad news you did not cause. The engagements are demanding and the client set is still forming.
Compensation and participation
The range for this role, the employment or contracting structure, and any equity or profit participation are shared in the first conversation and documented before work begins. We will not describe a role as senior to attract stronger candidates while offering junior authority.

Send the work, not the pitch. A résumé plus one thing you built, maintained, evaluated, or fixed tells us more than a cover letter.
